Description (Service) COVID-19 Response 
In-person programs and services have been suspended indefinitely, but education programs, support services and social programs are available by phone and online * check the website and social media sites for program information and regular updates 
* Accepting new referrals * community partners can fax referrals using the First Link Referral form * members of the public can continue to call or email office to get connected to programs 
* Supportive counselling is being provided by phone, email or by virtual Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN) visits 
* Support groups are being run though group video conferencing 
* Weekly Minds in Motion Social Sessions are being hosted online and at-home activity resources are being shared 
* Education programs for people living with dementia, and their care partners are being delivered monthly through group video conferencing

Regular Service 
Provides information, education and support for persons living with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, and their care partners 
Core Services Include: 
* First Link a direct referral program that connects people affected by Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia and their care partners to a community of learning, services and support 
* Supportive Counselling is available on an individual basis to help people address concerns related to living with a diagnosis of dementia 
* First Link Learning Series for Persons Living with Dementia and Care Partners 
* Taking Control of Our Lives (an 8-week self management program for persons living with dementia) 
* Minds in Motion - an 8 week physical and social program combining exercise with cognitively stimulating activities 
* Monthly Care Partner Support Groups (operating in all parts of the county) 
* Respite Groups - Concurrent respite groups operate in conjunction with 2 of the monthly support groups (Barrie Evening, Orillia Daytime) enabling care partners to come out to access support 
* Good Day Cafes - monthly social groups in Barrie, Alliston, Wasaga Beach & Midland; Monthly luncheon group in Orillia 
* Educational workshops for people living with dementia, care partners and professionals  
* Information packages are available upon request

* Music Project - provides individuals living with dementia with a music player and personalized music visit to register or call 705-722-1066

* January is Alzheimer Awareness Month  
* IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer's, May 30, 2020 in Barrie  
* Tag Days held annually during the summer throughout the County of Simcoe 
* Alzheimer Coffee Break, a nation-wide fundraising and awareness event is held in September each year
