Description (Service)

One-time, lump-sum payment to the estate on behalf of a deceased Canada Pension Plan contributor

  • amount of death benefit for all eligible contributors is a flat rate of $2,500 by cheque
Hours Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4 pm, hours may vary

Eligibility
  • Estate of deceased contributor
  • if no estate exists, the person or institution that has paid for or that is responsible for paying for the funeral expenses of the deceased
