Description (Service) Increases community awareness about suicide and supports suicide survivors, people who have a family member or friend who has committed suicide
  • holds support group meetings for survivors
  • organizes public meetings and community education sessions to create awareness of suicide
  • annual walk for Suicide Awareness in Spring each year, registration and pledge forms available from website
  • World Suicide Awareness and Prevention Day held annually in September
  • International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day held annually, usually on the third Sat of November
Programs occur in Barrie in the fall and Orillia in the spring.
Due to COVID19 programs are currently being offered via zoom.
