Description (Service) March 22, 2020 -COVID-19 Response 
No access to 88 Mulcaster Street HUB until further notice * our team will still be providing services via phone or through outreach service to people who cannot access our building 
Donations and Volunteer Services 
Donations of breakfast and lunch items for shelter guests as well as donations of toiletries, cleaning supplies needed * Volunteers needed to make meals and other tasks, to volunteer email getconnected@busbycentre.ca for more information 
Staff may be onsite at 88 Mulcaster to provide information and direction as well as to accept donations * if you have donations, do not go to 88 Mulcaster without first calling 705-739-6916 or emailing getconnected@busbycentre.ca for more information * please accept our apologies in advance if you are not getting through on the phone line as we have been receiving a higher number of calls then usual 
Regular Service 
Staff assist chronically and episodically homeless individuals and families in securing and maintaining housing * work with participants in the community, assisting them in developing skills to be a good tenant, manage finances, maintain good health, and gain employment (where possible) * work to help people to become self sufficient through building an appropriate community support network, mentorship and empowerment 
Housing Access Workers help people find permanent housing by: 
* assisting with accessing funding for utility and rent related expenses 
* assisting with accessing funding for support services needed for individuals with a disability or mental illness who are unable to live independently without care, supervision and/or support 
* providing landlord/tenant mediation 
* providing referrals to community resources 
* maintaining a landlord registry 
* maintaining a housing registry of houses, townhouses, apartments, rooms and shared accommodation
