Description (Service) March 22, 2020 -COVID-19 Response 
No access to 88 Mulcaster Street HUB until further notice * our team will still be providing services via phone or through outreach service to people who cannot access our building 
Emergency Shelter 
Shelter operations have moved temporarily into a local motel * Shelter Central Intake Hours: starting at 5 pm, call 705-790-7028 * at the motel staff will be providing 24/7 support and outreach efforts will be increased in the coming days to ensure our homeless population continues to be served, supported and protected through these extremely challenging times 
Outreach Services 
Call 705-790-5654 for outreach services * for individuals living rough Busby staff and volunteers will be providing tent, tarps and sleeping gear when bringing food to their locations through outreach to ensure that people experiencing homelessness can properly self-isolate, as recommended by health officials 
Donations and Volunteer Services 
Donations of breakfast and lunch items for shelter guests as well as donations of toiletries, cleaning supplies needed * Volunteers needed to make meals and other tasks, to volunteer email getconnected@busbycentre.ca for more information 
Staff may be onsite at 88 Mulcaster to provide information and direction as well as to accept donations * if you have donations, do not go to 88 Mulcaster without first calling 705-739-6916 or emailing getconnected@busbycentre.ca for more information * please accept our apologies in advance if you are not getting through on the phone line as we have been receiving a higher number of calls then usual 
Regular Service 
Outreach Van available seven days per week provides people with: 
* basic needs 
* blankets and clothing 
* harm reduction supplies 
* brief crisis counselling 
* advocacy support 
* community referrals 
HEART - Housing Engagement and Response Team 
Collaboration of community partners * aims to engage all people living, or at risk of living, on Barrieā€™s streets * deliver walking, street outreach * offer basic needs, food, conversation, minor first aid attention, harm reduction and friendship * offer referral to other programs available at Centre, from Outreach Van and other community resources
