Emergency Loan program to help Canadians abroad to return to Canada 
* up to $5,000 as part of an emergency loan program through Global Affairs Canada 
* for Canadians who need immediate financial assistance to return home or cover their needs if they have to wait to get back

Canadian Border Closings, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that "Canada is shutting the border to non-Canadian citizens, with limited exceptions, to limit the spread of COVID-19"  
* Permanent Canadian residents, the immediate family members of Canadian citizens, diplomats and air crews are still being allowed into Canada at this time  
* Some international flights are being rerouted to Montreal, Toronto, Calgary or Vancouver for dedicated enhanced screening  
* Everyone entering Canada is asked to self isolate for 14 days upon their return  
* Anyone who has symptoms of COVID-19 will not be able to enter Canada  
* Border restrictions will not apply to commerce or trade, and products will continue to flow in and out of the country
