Description

Description (Service)

Professional counselling and psychotherapy services:

  • sessions are limited and are available on a first-come, first-serviced basis
  • in-person counselling sessions for individuals, couples and families
  • no-cost single-session counselling for people experiencing issues such as: family
    conflict, stress, grief, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, separation, divorce or
    abuse
  • clinicians may recommend/refer clinic clients for/to additional sessions, other CFS
    programs, or external community partners as required

Partner agency of Support Services for Male Abuse Survivors of Sexual Abuse - Central

  • offers support services and short-term counselling to help survivors deal with theimpact of abuse and to develop improved coping strategies

This is not a crisis clinic

Hours Wed 12 noon-8 pm (last session begins at 6:45pm; office is closed for dinner betwen 4:30-5:30pm)

Eligibility
  • Individuals, couples and families living or working in Simcoe Muskoka
  • Children under 12 years are welcome in family counselling sessions with the written permission of legal guardians
  • Nondenominational
Support Services for Male Survivors: Individuals 16 years and older who identify as male or non-binary, and have experienced historical sexual abuse or who are a victim of recent sexual assault
  • must be an Ontario resident
  • families of the survivor may also be eligible for service
