In response to the ice storm, the following Relief and Warming Centre will be available:

• North Simcoe Sports and Recreation Centre (527 Len Self Blvd)
  • Open from 8 am to 10 pm
• Town Hall (575 Dominion Avenue)
  
  • Open from 8:30 am to 4:30pm

Residents can come in to:

• Warm up (bring your own blankets and refreshments).
• Charge electronic devices (bring your own charging cables and blocks).
• Fill personal water bottles.

When Environment Canada issues an extreme heat or cold alert, rest areas are available to residents for relief from extreme weather conditions. These can include public buildings such as libraries or community centres during regular business hours. Other buildings such as malls or cinemas that have air conditioning/heating could also be used.In Midland, the following locations are available:

• Midland Public Library, 320 King St, Summer hours - Mon 9:30 am-6 pm; Tue-Thu 9:30 am-8 pm, Fri 9:30 am-6 pm, Sat 9:30 am-4 pm
• North Simcoe Sports and Recreation Centre, 527 Len Self Boulevard, 705-526-9395 - Mon-Sun 7 am-11 pm
