Due to the ice storm, the following facilities have been made available as warming centres

• The Township Adminstration Building located at 2297 Highway 12, is open on April 3rd and 4th from 9 am- 4:30 pm so that residents can access the facility to charge their devices, use the public facilities, and get warm.
• The Ramara Centre, located at 5482 Highway 12, is open on April 3rd from 9 am- 8 pm and April 4th 9 am-6 pm so that residents can access the facility to charge their devices, use the public facilities, and get warm. All programs are cancelled until further notice.
• The Ramara Township Public Library (Ramara Centre location) is open on April 3rd from 10 am- 8 pm and April 4th from 10 am- 6 pm. Residents are welcome to stop by to check out books and puzzles.
• The Brechin Mara Legion is open as a warming centre or to charge phones. For details on hours of operation, please contact the Legion at 705-748-5393.

When Environment Canada issues an extreme heat or cold alert, rest areas are available to residents for relief from extreme weather conditions. These can include public buildings such as libraries or community centres during regular business hours. Other buildings such as malls or cinemas that have air conditioning/heating could also be used.

In Ramara, the following locations are available:
