A self-help peer support and resource centre for people who have or are experiencing mental health and addiction issues, including substance and alcohol abuse
People Supporting People is: - a network of people who have experience with mental health issues and/or addiction issues and who believe in the power of peer support
- a group of trained individuals who provide education to assist persons in dealing with day-to-day issues and in developing a sense of personal well-being
- a group who, by providing training, serves to enhance self-confidence and help others in the process
- a program that provides the opportunity to acquire skills and share experiences
Offer interactive workshops on: - Boundaries and Self Care
- Problem Solving and Decision Making
- Handling a Crisis
- Communication Skills
- Grief and Loss
- living on a shoe string budget
- relapse prevention
- codependency
- cognitive behavior therapy CBT

A member of Voices United, a network of consumer/survivor and family members who work in the mental health and addictions field. |
