Description

Description (Service) Child and youth services:
Experienced Child and Youth Counsellors (or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 yrs experience to provide:
  • consultation
  • support
  • respite
  • program planning and implementation
  • crisis support to families, agencies, schools, hospitals
  • community programs for individuals who are experiencing difficulties with any of the following issues but not limited to behavioural, developmental, mental health, emotional, social, acquired brain injury, ADD, ADHD, ASD, FASD
Senior services:
Support for families, caregivers and healthcare professionals working with seniors who have developed moderate to severe behavioral, social, emotional, and or psychiatric difficulties which may be the onset of dementia, living with terminal illness, isolation due to physical limitations, difficulties during transition and change. The goal is to stabilize these behaviors and reduce stress in the home. Ongoing support is provided to ensure plans are in place and monitored for effectiveness. Service is offered in the seniors home, long term care placement, retirement homes, hospitals, day programs or wherever needed.

Any family or agency having difficulty with their family member or client (no matter age or diagnosis), that may not benefit from the services offered will be referred accordingly to other community services.
