Description (Service) Offers resources and programs including * books, e-books, directories, magazines, newspapers * on-line access to catalogue for book reservation and renewal * college and university calendars * compact discs, dvds * resources on microfilm, microfilm reader service * inter-library loan service * free wireless internet access * access to on-line databases * photocopy and fax service * Books on Wheels for shut ins * children's story hour * computer terminals for access to the internet, email, job search sites * multi-lingual materials etc. 
There are meeting rooms and Study Rooms available for booking, call ahead. 
The library welcomes people to drop in to cool down during times of extreme heat. 
Maker Place * New * explore the intersection between creativity and new technologies * a space for the community to discover and share skills, tools, equipment, and ideas 
* A MakerLab with 3D printing, laser cutting, and other light manufacturing & making equipment 
* A MediaLab with audio / video recording, production, and digitization equipment 
* A collaborative learning space with a computer lab, robotics and electronics kits

Areas Served Midland ; Oro-Medonte ; Tay ; Tiny ; Memberships are available free of charge to all residents of Midland. Also offer memberships to those living in the Township of Tiny, Christian Island or Oro-Medonte. Midland Public Library also offers reciprocal Library Memberships to anyone living in Barrie, Orillia, Penetanguishene, or Tay, with a valid library card in those communities.
