Description (Service)

Supports projects of benefit to children receiving protection services from the Kawartha-Haliburton Children's Aid Society (KHCAS).

Committed to a financial allocation for summer camp, providing a one week overnight or two week day camping experience for children who are involved with the Society.
Other funding is directed towards purchases or activities that many children take for granted, such as joining a sports team, taking music lessons, attending a school trip or purchasing a bicycle.
Assists youths involved in an extended care arrangement with the KHCAS with a bursary for post-secondary education.
Also assists teenagers living independently.

Youth requiring assistance will be connected with this funding through their caseworker at the KHCAS.
