Duties | Pregnancy and Infant Loss (PAIL) Network provides bereavement support at no cost to families who have experienced the loss of a pregnancy at any stage, or the death of their baby, up to 12 months of age. We currently have volunteer opportunities for people who are approximately two years past their bereavement date and are looking for meaningful ways to offer their support to others. We are actively training peer supporters for private mixed loss group peer led support, loss specific online peer-led group support, and one-to-one telephone support. |

Benefits | There are many benefits to volunteering as a peer supporter. Here are three thoughtful benefits of being a peer support volunteer for individuals who have experienced a similar loss: 1. Healing Through Connection: Offering support to others who’ve experienced pregnancy or infant loss can bring a sense of meaning, healing, and purpose to your own journey. 2. Creating Community: Being part of a peer support network reduces isolation and helps you feel connected to others who truly understand this unique kind of grief. 3. Making a Difference: Even a single conversation can offer comfort, hope, or a sense of being seen—allowing you to have a lasting impact in someone else’s life during one of their hardest moments. |
Clients | PAIL Network’s peer support programs are available at no cost to families and have been tailored to meet the specific needs of people grieving this type of loss. We are uniquely sensitive to the experiences surrounding pregnancy and infant loss because all of our trained peer support volunteers have lived experiences of pregnancy and infant loss. Our services are delivered in a variety of ways, including mixed group peer led support, loss specific online peer-led group support, and one-to-one telephone support. |
