Opportunity Details: Volunteer to answer phone calls
Comments | Telecare Distress Line is a free 24 hour, 7 days a week, anonymous, and confidential distress line serving Simcoe County and area. Specially trained volunteers listen without judgment while acknowledging and supporting the caller. If necessary, community referrals are offered for extra support. Telecare Distress Line is always looking for new volunteers to help provide this valuable service to the community. Volunteers help by spending time on the phone lines, as members of our volunteer Board of Directors, with fundraising, and with other special events. |

Duties | Volunteers are needed for four hour shifts to answer calls from clients from every walk of life. We operate out of the Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital. No experience needed, training is provided. |
