Title: Comfort Kit Organizer


Reporting to the Development Coordinator, the Comfort Kit Organizer is responsible for organizing, assembling and tracking Comfort Kits. Comfort Kits are provided for free to individuals and families who experience pregnancy or infant loss. They offer gentle direction and compassion in the days and weeks following loss. On-demand Comfort Kits, ordered through the website, are processed and shipped within a 2-week period. Hospital Comfort Kits are processed and shipped quarterly. 

Hours: 2-4 hours a week; Tuesday – Thursday between the hours of 10:00 and 4:00 pm.

The Collingwood Paddling Club is based out at the harbour in Collingwood, Ontario

The Treasurer's duties include, but are not limited to:


● Prepare an annual budget and present to the Board of DIrectors at the beginning of each season.


● Liaise with Accounting firm to prepare annual Financial Statements and present at the Club AGM.


● Manage the bookkeeper.


● Keep an accurate historical record of transactions in Quickbooks covering income such as membership
payments through RAMP, fundraising income, sponsorship income, and payments to employees, third
parties, and CKC/CKO affiliates.
○ Manage Chart of Accounts to ensure all transactions are itemized appropriately
○ Liaise with the bookkeeper to ensure:
■ Run reports on program registration through RAMP to reconcile daily Credit Card
deposits and e-transfers in Quickbooks
■ Ensure digital image of all invoices and receipts are uploaded to Quickbooks and
attached the the applicable transaction to be retained in file digitally.
■ Reconcile all transactions in a timely manner to ensure all reporting options are
up-to-date


● Maintain the club’s bank records.
○ Accept e-transfers for membership payments
○ Reconcile income from RAMP
○ Pay utility bills (auto withdrawal)

■ Accurately input all Employee information into Quickbooks and set up bi-weekly pay
structure
■ Receive timesheets from Boat House Manager electronically and import into Quickbooks
to ensure historical records are maintained for hours worked
■ Process payroll bi-weekly by direct deposit
■ Ensure all government guidelines are followed with respect to Statutory Holiday Pay and
Vacation Pay (as necessary).
○ Process and send T4 slips in a timely manner
○ Report and make payments to WSIB
○ Complete and submit ROE to Service Canada for each employee at the end of his/her summer
work period
○ Send monthly bank statements to bookkeeper


● Manage Club Insurance Policies.
○ Complete all necessary forms and submit to A. Gallagher as requested
○ Make premium payments in a timely manner to ensure all coverages are in place
○ Have full knowledge of the current Club Insurance policies and make recommendations to the Board of Directors as necessary regarding coverage updates

● Prepare a monthly Treasurer Report to be presented at the monthly Board Meeting.

● Monitor the RAMP registration system and follow-up on non-payment of program fees. Liaise with CPC

As a community engagement leadership volunteer, you will be part of our committees of 10 to 15 volunteers who will work over the months to help us organize our fundraising events. Depending on the needs in your community, available roles could include committee lead, logistics, community outreach, volunteer lead, and social media.

  Description

The Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure is a 5k or 1k walk or run. It is a volunteer-led event and the largest breast cancer fundraiser in Canada.

This year’s event will be taking place on Sunday, October 4, 2026. 

 

As the volunteer Run Director, Community Engagement, you will be responsible for: 

• Providing training, leadership and guidance to your team of Community Engagement volunteers (4-6 people, depending on site size).  

• Supporting the Community Engagement Leads in developing local engagement strategies. 

• Ensuring all important Community Engagement tasks are completed as per the timeline outlined in the critical path.  

• Working to ensure your event meets local revenue and participant targets. 

• Leading virtual and in person committee meetings with your fellow Run Director, Logistics. (generally bi-weekly to monthly). 

• Meeting regularly with your CCS staff partner and Run Director, Logistics.  

• Reviewing the CIBC Run for the Cure Minimum Standards and ensuring all committee initiatives abide by CCS best practices. 

• Supporting the interviewing and onboarding of new Community Engagement volunteers.

In the absence of any federal or provincial government funding, the GTHS organizes multiple events annually to raise much-needed funds.  We are seeking talented, outgoing and passionate individuals who can help us reach our fundraising goals and, in turn, support thousands of homeless animals.

As a result of as our programs and services, every year more than 1500 homeless cats and dogs are provided shelter, 1300 animals find a new home, 4000 youth are positively impacted, approximately 3000 spay/neuter/dental/specialized surgeries are performed, and in excess of 1000 pets are supported through our Pet Pantry program.

Description

Fundraising Committee Members have drive, passion and ideas to support the implementation and success of our events – all while having fun! Each Committee Member will assume specific roles and responsibilities based on their strengths (for example: marketing, networking, people management, fundraising, sourcing…), and will be involved from inception and initial planning, all the way through to execution of the event itself and post-event activities. Bring your strengths but be prepared to pitch in! Members will provide progress updates at committee meetings so, as a team, we can evaluate where we are and realign when necessary; to ensure the success of our events. Committee members may also be expected to develop existing and potential sponsor / donor relationships.

Wiidookdaadiwin

Wiidookdaadiwin is a lookout site built to honour and acknowledge Indigenous and settler relations in Simcoe County. There are Indigenous plantings and story boards in both Ojibway and Engish, and a tremendous vistia lookout of Georgian Bay and the region. 

We are looking for summer volunteers to assist with daily operations such as opening and closing the site. This will require the volunteer to have a car and ideally live locally. Volunteers will also be required to particiapte in special events such as the official grand opening in June, 2025. Further terms and dates for these roles are negotiable. We are looking for 3-5 volunteers for the summer from May to September, 2025.

The site is located at 2816 George Johnston Road, Springwater, Ontario.

This is a hybrid volunteer position. Depending on tasks undertaken, volunteers will be home-based and utilize their own computer or tablet, telephone and internet (with occasional onsite activities), or may assist with written communications before, during or after a scheduled shift at the Animal Centre (time and space permitting) and continue any remaining tasks at home.
