Our Adult Day Program offers socialization, recreation and support for older adults living with dementia, chronic illnesses or mobility challenges.

• Volunteers play a valuable role in creating a fun, safe and engaging day for our participants
• We are looking for musicians or people to help with crafts, games, socialization, or support for the lunch program

Volunteers will lead a gentle functional fitness program designed for community members aged 55+

The purpose of the program is to:
• Increase and maintain strength, coordination, balance and flexibility
• Improve health and energy
• Improve mobility and independence
• Prevent falls and decrease falls risk
• Meet new people and socialize

The goal of VON’s SMART (Seniors Maintaining Active Roles Together)® Program is to enable adults 55+ to maintain independence, improve quality of life and to ultimately promote healthy aging. No prior experience is required and full training will be provided.  
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who have a keen interest in promoting health and well-being through physical activity. Come find out more about the classes, our training program, and hear directly from some of our volunteers why they love being part of SMART.
