    The purpose of the program is to:
  • Increase and maintain strength, coordination, balance and flexibility
  • Improve health and energy
  • Improve mobility and independence

  • Meet new people and socialize

  • Monitor pace of play utilizing Tag Marshal technology alongside the Pro Shop Attendant and the Professional Staff in addition to oncourse observation Ensure golfers adhere to course rules and regulations including course care
  • Provide high-quality customer service to golfers, addressing their needs and resolving issues as they may arise throughout the day
  • Assist with the coordination and set up of golf carts, member/guests bags, on course signage and specialty stations as required for both daily play and tournaments
  • Enforce course safety guidelines
  • Assist Starter at first tee during busy times
  • Weekends are the busiest times at the course. Some weekends and holidays are required
  • Maintain communication with the golf shop staff and Golf Operations staff
  • Provide excellent customer service to golfers
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Breaking Down Barriers, Independent Living Resource Centre

Assist staff to deliver various programs such as crafts, bingo, outings and trips for adults with diverse disabilities. We offer a hybrid approach that involves both in-person programs at our Centre and virtual programs.

    Volunteers tasks:
  • Telephone check-ins with our Consumers
  • Accompny consumers at programs at the Centre
  • Organizational/administrative assistance for our Connecting with Seniors program
  • Opportunity to do crafting or recipe videos for our social media outlets

To Volunteer to Instruct or Assist athletes with varying disabilities to ski, Cross Country Ski, Snowboard or hike. No special certification is required. Track3 provides training for all instructors. You must be able to communicate effectively, the ability to ski or snowboard in control and have patience and understanding of our athletes' needs. The minimum age for instructors is 17, the minimum age for assistants is 14.

Make a difference in your community by becoming a VON SMART® Exercise and Falls Prevention program volunteer!


The goal of VON’s SMART (Seniors Maintaining Active Roles Together)® Exercise and Falls Prevention program is to enable adults 55+ to maintain independence, improve quality of life and to ultimately promote healthy aging. This functional exercise program can be found in various communities throughout Grey-Bruce. 
 
VON SMART and Falls Prevention classes are led by volunteers who VON trains (2 days of practical plus the theory) and certify. Weekly we offer over 50 Level 1 and Level 2 classes in Grey Bruce with over 1,000 participants! We ask for a minimum commitment of 2 hours a week (one class) but have flexible schedules for those who are away for long periods of time. We are looking for volunteer instructors for both levels of classes.

These classes are offered free of charge to participants within Grey Bruce communities.

A Volunteer House Legaue Coach supports a fun, inclusive, and positive soccer experience for players of all skill levels. The coach focuses on player development (led by our technical director), teamwork, sportsmanship, and creating a safe, enjoyable environment on and off the field. Commitment level is minimum 1-hour, 1x per week, but can increase based on the volunteers preference.    Roles: 

  • Run weekly practices (provided by BSC) using age‑appropriate drills that develop basic skills such as passing, shooting, dribbling, and teamwork.
  • Coach games by organizing lineups, ensuring fair playing time, and guiding players with encouragement and positive instruction.
  • Model positive behaviour by promoting respect, sportsmanship, and fair play at all times.
  • Ensure player safety by following club policies, monitoring equipment, and responding appropriately to injuries or incidents.
  • Collaborate with other coaches and volunteers to support smooth game days, set up fields, and manage team logistics.
