Description (Service) | COVID-19 * Social Distancing in effect during hikes * Keeping the groups under 10 in line with Government guidelines Regular Service Ganaraska Hiking Trail consists of 500 kilometres of non-motorized trails for hiking, skiing and snowshoeing, running from Port Hope on Lake Ontario to the Bruce Trail near Collingwood, with side trails to Wasaga Beach and Midland * the trail is comprised of 9 sections (Barrie, Orillia, Midland, Wasaga, Oro-Medonte, Pine Ridge, Wilderness, Kawartha and Mad River) * objectives of the Association are to bring together people who are interested in physical activities such as hiking, biking, and cross country skiing, to develop non-motorized recreational trails and to map the trails * members of each section plan local hikes as well as develop and maintain the Ganaraska Trail * a registered charitable organization |
