Description (Service) Ganaraska Hiking Trail consists of 500 kilometres of non-motorized trails for hiking, skiing and snowshoeing, running from Port Hope on Lake Ontario to the Bruce Trail near Collingwood, with side trails to Wasaga Beach and Midland
  • the trail is comprised of 9 sections (Barrie, Orillia, Midland, Wasaga, Oro-Medonte, Pine Ridge, Wilderness, Kawartha and Mad River)
  • objectives of the Association are to:
    • bring together people who are interested in physical activities such as hiking, biking, and cross country skiing
    • develop non-motorized recreational trails
    • map the trails
  • members of each section plan local hikes as well as develop and maintain the Ganaraska Trail
  • a registered charitable organization
