Joyce Kope House has temporarily moved to Comfort Inn, 210 Essa Rd, Barrie* call 705-715-1052 for shelter services
* temporary shelter is operational for women exiting institutions or experiencing homelessness in Simcoe County
* please consider supporting women at the shelter at this time with donations of personal hygiene items, sanitizers and disinfectants, and food

Due to COVID-19 concerns the following services are cancelled/postponed until April 1, 2020
* Youth Justice Committee meetings and Restorative Justice circles
* In person Trusteeship appointments in Simcoe And Muskoka
* Jail Visitation at Central North Correctional Centre, Vanier Centre for Women and Grand Valley - Institute for Women * if you are in contact with a loved one who is incarcerated and needing service, direct them to call 705-725-0613, ext 0
* In-person groups and one on one sessions in Simcoe Muskoka including:
-Emotions Management
-Safe independent Choices
-Grief and loss
-Healthy Relationships
-Substance Use and Harm Reduction
-Community Maintenance Program

An emergency shelter for women experiencing homelessness and half-way house for women under supervision of Ministry of the Solicitor General and Correctional Services Canada or on bail * Joyce Kope House provides 25 safe beds for women over the age of 18 years * rules include: No Drugs or Alcohol * women accessing shelter at Joyce Kope House are assigned a Case Worker to assist with goal setting and housing resources

Eligibility Ages: 18 year(s) and up 
Women eligible to stay at Joyce Kope House include: 
* Women released from correctional institutions on parole, temporary absence passes, bail, probation, or on a conditional sentence 
* Women experiencing homelessness, those being released from mental health facilities, going to and from treatment centres, released from detoxification centres, and/or fleeing domestic violence 
Women can self-refer if they are experiencing homelessness.
Application Referrals - self, Correctional Institutions, Mental Health Facilities, Shelters, Alcohol & Drug Rehabilitation Centres, hospitals, community agencies etc.

Fees None - For community women: first 30 days are funded through the County of Simcoe, extensions may be available upon request
