Description & Services
Description (Service) Housing registry for people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless * offers a free housing registry, landlord/tenant mediation, a housing help line, housing education workshops and community resource information * prospective tenants and landlords are screened in order to facilitate a successful match * housing registry lists houses, townhouses, apartments, rooms and shared accommodation * have applications for subsidized housing which must be forwarded by client

Assist individuals in applying for funding from the Housing Retention Fund, which is intended to assist low income residents of Simcoe County who are facing rent arrears or energy related financial emergencies by providing them with financial assistance * Intake Centre for Ontario Electricity Support Program (OESP) * can assist people in filling out OESP application form

Co-sponsored by Canadian Mental Health Association Simcoe County Branch and is funded by the County of Simcoe and the United Way * member of the Simcoe County Alliance to End Homelessness * Housing Access Workers also provide support through other agencies such as the David Busby Centre, Youth Haven, Elizabeth Fry Society of Simcoe County and Salvation Army
