Description (Service) | COVID-19 Response In-person support and drop-ins are not available * phone support is available by phoning the Empower Simcoe intake line, 705-739-0485 and leaving a message, and a housing associate will call you back to book an appointment by phone Housing Resource Centre to assist those looking for permanent housing, services include: * assistance with accessing funding for utility and rent related expenses * assistance with accessing funding for support services needed for individuals with a disability or mental illness who are unable to live independently without care, supervision and/or support * landlord/tenant mediation * referrals to community resources * maintaining a landlord registry * maintaining a housing registry of houses, townhouses, apartments, rooms and shared accommodation * assistance with applications for subsidized housing which must be forwarded by client * assistance with applications for Housing Retention Fund, which is intended to assist low income residents of Simcoe County who are facing rent arrears or energy related financial emergencies by providing them with financial assistance * assistance with applications for Ontario Electricity Support Program (OESP) Member of the Simcoe County Alliance to End Homelessness * Housing access workers also provide support at Midland Public Library |
