| Description (Service) | During the winter when the temperature drops below -10°C or during an adverse weather event, the County of Simcoe will activate the following locations as warming centres for those living unhoused. Call to confirm.
While utilizing County-funded warming centres, individuals can also access support to find shelter, housing, healthcare, and other services and supports. Additionally the following warming centres are also available when the temperature drops below -10°C: Barrie
Bradford West Gwillimbury Clearview
Orillia
In Barrie, the Warming Beds offered by the Elizabeth Fry Society Simcoe Muskoka will be available continuously until April 30, 2025 and are not dependent on low temperature or adverse weather events. |
