| Description (Service) | Until March 31, 2025, the following warming centres will be open Monday to Sunday, 24 hours per day:
During the winter when the temperature drops below -10°C or during an adverse weather event, the County of Simcoe will activate the following location as a warming centre for those living unhoused. Call ahead to confirm availability.
While utilizing County-funded warming centres, individuals can also access support to find shelter, housing, healthcare, and other services and supports. Warming centres may be able to provide transportation to other services to those accessing the warming centre. Additionally the following warming centres are also available when the temperature drops below -10°C: Barrie
Bradford West Gwillimbury Clearview
Orillia
In Barrie, the Warming Beds offered by the Elizabeth Fry Society Simcoe Muskoka will be available continuously until April 30, 2025 and are not dependent on low temperature or adverse weather events. |
